The shortlist
NAVEX alternatives and what each one charges
Five options a US compliance or HR lead weighs against a NAVEX quote. Four print a rate you can read today: CompanyLMS, Traliant, EasyLlama and Ethena. NAVEX does not. Every vendor page was read on 19 October 2026.
| Platform | Best for | Pricing model | What stands out | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyLMS | US small and mid-sized companies training on their own policies, procedures and certifications | Published. Team $4, Business $7 and Enterprise $12 per active learner a month, or $3, $6 and $9 billed annually. Team and Enterprise start at 25 learners, Business at 10 | Authoring from a PDF or video, role-based assignment, certificates with expiry dates and reminders, billed only for learners active that month | No bundled compliance course library and no whistleblowing hotline. Pair it with a content vendor if you need ready-made state harassment courses |
| NAVEX One Ethics & Compliance Training | Regulated mid-market and enterprise programs that want training, hotline and policy management from one vendor | Quote only. No dollar amount on the training, Compliance Professional or small business pages | 130+ courses and 40+ microlearnings, content vetted by Baker McKenzie, adaptive learning, SCORM, AICC and cmi5 hosting, SSO and API | Nothing to budget against before a sales call, and the training is usually sold as part of a wider NAVEX One bundle |
| Traliant | HR teams that want attorney-built courses with a published starting rate | Published per learner a year: Essential from $13.95 (1 topic), Pro from $21.95 (3 topics), Complete from $30.95 (all 40 topics). Plus adds $3.99. Enterprise by quote | Real published tiers and a catalog built around US workplace law | The rates are stated for 500 learners on a 3-year plan, so smaller teams and shorter terms pay more |
| EasyLlama | SMB and mid-market teams that want one simple number and self-serve setup | Published per user a year: Core $59.95, Ultimate $89.95. Pay Per Course $24.95 per course assignment, 10 course minimum | 500+ legally vetted courses, full library on Core, AI course authoring on Ultimate | 10 user minimum sold in steps of 5, and Pay Per Course stops being cheaper after two or three courses a person |
| Ethena | Companies that mainly need state harassment and workplace violence training, plus a short core catalog | Published per learner a year: $20 for the Harassment and Workplace Violence Prevention bundle, $50 for the entire catalog. Card checkout under 100 employees | Harassment course that Ethena says meets every US state and local requirement, magic-link login, Slack and email reminders | Hotline and case management cost extra. Workday and ADP integrations, SSO, SCORM export and policy attestation sit on Premium, which shows no price, and the API is an add-on |
Pricing reflects each vendor's own pricing or help pages where they exist, and labelled third-party data where they do not. Most vendors quote privately, so treat ranges as planning anchors and confirm with each vendor.
Buying guide
NAVEX compliance training, read from NAVEX pages
These facts come from the NAVEX online ethics and compliance training page, the Compliance Professional package page and the NAVEX for Small Business page, all read on 19 October 2026. Competitor rates come from each vendor pricing page on the same day.
How much does NAVEX compliance training cost?
NAVEX does not publish a price. The online ethics and compliance training page, the NAVEX One Compliance Professional page and the NAVEX for Small Business page carry zero dollar amounts between them. The navigation offers Get Pricing, and every content block ends in a demo or talk-to-an-expert form. The price you pay is set in a sales conversation.
Listing sites fill the gap with numbers you should treat carefully. Capterra shows a starting figure of $1,200 per feature, and its regional pages repeat it without saying whether that is monthly or yearly. That is a third-party listing, not a NAVEX rate card, and we would not build a budget on it.
What NAVEX does publish is a hint about who the pricing is designed for. Its training ROI claim, "3x ROI achieved in cost savings vs. average legal fees and non-compliance fines", comes with the footnote "Figures assume a headcount of more than 5000 employees." The Compliance Professional package page quotes "5.5x ROI expected for companies with under 1,000 employees." Two size bands, two pitches, no prices.
The practical answer: ask NAVEX for a per-employee figure for training alone, separately from hotline and policy tools, on the contract term you actually want. Then hold it against the published rates below.
NAVEX pricing against compliance training vendors that publish rates
Four vendors in this market print a number. Here is what each comes to for a year at three company sizes, using the full-catalog option where a vendor sells topics separately, because a real compliance program covers more than one topic.
| Learners a year | NAVEX One | Traliant Complete plus Plus ($34.94) | EasyLlama Core ($59.95) | Ethena entire catalog ($50) | CompanyLMS Team, annual ($36) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | Quote only | $3,494* | $5,995 | $5,000 | $3,600 |
| 500 | Quote only | $17,470 | $29,975 | $25,000 | $18,000 |
| 1,000 | Quote only | Enterprise quote | $59,950 | $50,000 | $36,000 |
*Traliant states its prices "are for 500 learners on a 3-year plan", so the 100-learner line is a floor, not a quote. The Ethena rate is the published per-learner figure; card checkout is offered under 100 employees and larger companies buy through sales. CompanyLMS is shown on Team billed annually at $3 per active learner a month, and assumes every learner is active every month. It is the only column that buys no course library, which is the honest reason it can sit next to these numbers: you bring your own policies and procedures, or you pair it with a content vendor.
The pattern is clear. Published compliance training runs roughly $35 to $60 per learner a year for a full catalog. A NAVEX quote that lands well above that is paying for something else, usually the hotline, policy management or the wider NAVEX One platform, and you should ask for those lines separately.
What NAVEX One Ethics & Compliance Training includes
NAVEX describes the product as "a complete online training solution that helps organizations of all sizes improve and attest to employee compliance knowledge." Read past the headline and these are the concrete pieces.
- A 130+ course library of customizable courses, plus 40+ bite-sized microlearnings for topics such as anti-harassment and anti-bribery.
- Legal review. Content is "vetted by Baker McKenzie", and NAVEX names DOJ guidance, GDPR, California Workplace Violence Prevention and the UK Worker Protection Act among the requirements it tracks.
- Adaptive learning that uses qualifying questions to cut seat time for people who already know the material.
- Modular course collections for Ethics and Code of Conduct, Cybersecurity, Trade Compliance, Discrimination-Free Workplace, Belonging and Inclusion, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
- Your own content: it hosts "SCORM, AICC and cmi5 compliant training alongside NAVEX courses".
- Admin: SSO and API, a central assignment dashboard or delegated control by region, automated due reminders and manager notifications, and exportable learner transcripts.
Recent release notes on the same page show an updated Ethics and Code of Conduct course, a Global Insider Trading course and instructor-led sessions for harassment training. It is a serious, actively maintained library. The open question for a buyer is never quality. It is price, and how much of the wider NAVEX One platform comes attached to it.
What is included in NAVEX One Compliance Professional?
Compliance Professional is the package NAVEX pitches to growing companies. Its page lists six items "included as standard": whistleblowing reporting and case management, compliance training on harassment prevention, code of conduct and risk awareness, digital program awareness posters, an employee compliance portal with an AI Compliance Assistant, the integrated compliance platform, and GRC dashboards and reporting. You then choose two more from policy and procedure management or conflict of interest and disclosure management.
That bundle is the main reason a NAVEX quote is hard to compare. If you need a hotline anyway, one vendor for hotline, policies and training can be good value. If you only need training, ask whether training can be bought on its own and at what per-employee rate, because the published alternatives above sell exactly that.
Is NAVEX good for small businesses?
NAVEX does sell to them. Its NAVEX for Small Business page says it is "trusted by 6,000+ small businesses across the globe" and that it helps growing companies "manage policies and training in one place." It still ends in a demo form rather than a price, and the Compliance Professional bundle includes a hotline and portal a 60-person company may not be ready to run.
For a small US employer the usual compliance training job is narrow: state harassment prevention on the right schedule, a code of conduct acknowledgment, and a few safety or role certifications with expiry dates. A published per-learner vendor covers the courses, and a platform like CompanyLMS covers your own policies and the renewal dates. Both can be bought this week without a sales cycle.
Compliance training for your own workforce, built from your own policies

A library course teaches the law. It does not teach your forklift pre-shift check, your expense approval limits or the exact way your company wants a harassment complaint reported. That is the half of compliance training only you can write, and it is where CompanyLMS fits next to or instead of a NAVEX quote.
Upload the code of conduct or a procedure as a PDF or video, add a short quiz with a pass mark, and assign it by team, role or location. Mark it as a certification with a 12-month validity and each employee gets a reminder before it lapses. Every completion is dated per person and exports to CSV for an auditor. You pay only for learners who were active that month, $4 on Team or $7 on Business, and less on annual billing.
Questions to ask before you sign a NAVEX quote
- Can training be bought on its own? Ask for the per-employee figure for Ethics & Compliance Training without hotline, policy or disclosure modules.
- Is it priced per employee or per course? And does the count follow total headcount or only the people you assign?
- What is the term? Get the year-one figure and the three-year total, plus any cap on renewal increases.
- Are translations included? NAVEX offers courses in global languages; confirm which ones your quote covers.
- What happens to transcripts if you leave? NAVEX now lets admins export learner transcripts. Confirm the format and that the export covers completion dates and scores.
- Can your own SCORM courses sit in the same reports? NAVEX hosts SCORM, AICC and cmi5; ask whether those completions appear in the same audit export as NAVEX courses.
Hold the answers against the compliance training software pricing breakdown, which works through total budgets at 100, 500 and 5,000 employees.
Why teams pick CompanyLMS
One platform for courses, onboarding, compliance and certifications
A price you can read today
NAVEX will not quote a number without a call. CompanyLMS prints its rate per active learner, so you can budget the platform half of a compliance program before anyone books a demo.
Your code of conduct, not a generic one
Upload your handbook or code of conduct as a PDF, add a short quiz with a pass mark and assign it by team or role. Each employee gets a dated completion record you can export.
Renewals that remind themselves
Mark annual training as a certification, set how long it lasts, and CompanyLMS reminds each person before it lapses, so the yearly refresh does not depend on someone remembering.
