EasyLlama publishes three plans: Pay Per Course at $24.95 per course assignment, Core at $59.95 per user a year and Ultimate at $89.95 per user a year. Every plan starts at 10 and grows in steps of 5.
Here is what each plan includes, what 10 to 1,000 users pay in a year, and which features EasyLlama still prices by quote.
Courses, onboarding & compliance · one platform · per active learner
EasyLlama is a US compliance and security training vendor with a library of 500+ legally vetted courses, an anonymous reporting tool and a phishing simulator, sold on three published plans. It is one of the few vendors in this market that prints a price with no multi-year condition attached. CompanyLMS is the platform half of the job, for training employees on your own policies, onboarding and certifications at a published rate per active learner.

EasyLlama alternatives and what each one charges
Six options a US HR or compliance lead weighs against EasyLlama. Five publish a rate you can read today: CompanyLMS, EasyLlama, Emtrain, Traliant and Ethena. NAVEX does not. Every vendor page was read in October 2026.
| Platform | Best for | Pricing model | What stands out | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyLMS | US small and mid-sized companies training on their own policies, procedures and certifications | Published. Team $4, Business $7 and Enterprise $12 per active learner a month, or $3, $6 and $9 billed annually. Team and Enterprise start at 25 learners, Business at 10 | Authoring from a PDF or video, role-based assignment, certificates with expiry dates and reminders, billed only for learners active that month | No bundled compliance course library. Pair it with a content vendor if you need ready-made state harassment courses |
| EasyLlama | SMB and mid-market teams that want one per-user number and self-serve setup | Published per year: Pay Per Course $24.95 per course assignment, Core $59.95 per user, Ultimate $89.95 per user. 10 minimum, steps of 5 | 500+ legally vetted courses on every plan, phishing simulations on Core, AI course authoring and SCORM import on Ultimate, 50+ HRIS integrations | No free trial. SAML SSO, white-labeling and custom courses sit in Customization Services, priced by quote |
| Emtrain | Companies of 100 to 500 people that run their own LMS and want culture and sentiment data with the courses | Published per learner a year: Basic from $50, Standard from $60, Premium from $75. 100-user minimum, 10% off on a 3-year agreement, quote above 500 | SCORM delivery into your LMS on every package, native Workday Learning connector, in-course sentiment surveys, AuthorAI on Premium | A team under 100 pays for 100 seats, and phishing simulation and anonymous reporting are not on the pricing page |
| Traliant | HR and legal teams that want attorney-built courses with a published starting rate | Published per learner a year: Essential from $13.95, Pro from $21.95, Complete from $30.95, Plus from $3.99. $27 per course in the small business store | SSO and delivery into your own LMS on every plan, attorney Q&A on Plus | Rates are stated for 500 learners on a 3-year plan, so smaller teams and shorter terms pay more |
| Ethena | Companies that mainly need state harassment and workplace violence training plus a short core catalog | Published per learner a year: $20 for the Harassment and Workplace Violence bundle, $50 for the entire catalog. Premium by quote | Magic-link login, Slack and email reminders, self-serve Rippling, Gusto and BambooHR sync | SSO, Workday and ADP sync, SCORM files and policy attestation sit on Premium, which shows no price |
| NAVEX One Ethics & Compliance Training | Regulated mid-market and enterprise programs that want training, hotline and policy tools from one vendor | Quote only. No dollar amount on its training, Compliance Professional or small business pages | 130+ courses and 40+ microlearnings vetted by Baker McKenzie, SCORM, AICC and cmi5 hosting | Nothing to budget against before a sales call |
Pricing reflects each vendor's own pricing or help pages where they exist, and labelled third-party data where they do not. Most vendors quote privately, so treat ranges as planning anchors and confirm with each vendor.
Buying guide
EasyLlama pricing, read from the EasyLlama pricing page
These facts come from the EasyLlama pricing page, its plan comparison table and its pricing FAQ, read on 24 October 2026. Totals are our arithmetic on the published rates.
How much does EasyLlama cost?
EasyLlama costs $24.95 per course assignment a year on Pay Per Course, $59.95 per user a year on Core and $89.95 per user a year on Ultimate. Every plan has a 10-unit minimum sold in increments of 5, so the smallest possible bills are $249.50, $599.50 and $899.50 a year. Those are the estimated totals EasyLlama's own calculator shows at the minimum.
Unlike Traliant, whose rates are stated for 500 learners on a 3-year plan, EasyLlama attaches no term or headcount condition to its numbers. The FAQ puts it plainly: "You only pay for the users or course assignments you actually need." There is no free trial; EasyLlama offers a demo instead.
All three plans include the full library of 500+ legally vetted courses, the anonymous reporting tool, the document and policy manager, 50+ HRIS and payroll integrations, course customization, kiosk mode, learning journeys and the AI reporting assistant. The plans differ on phishing, AI authoring, SCORM import and how seats are counted.
EasyLlama pricing by plan
The plan comparison table on the EasyLlama pricing page lists more than 80 rows. Most are included on all three plans. These are the rows that are not, plus the pricing mechanics that change your bill.
| Plan | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Pay Per Course | $24.95 per course, per learner, per year | Pick individual courses from the 500+ library and assign only what you need. One assignment is used when a course is assigned to one learner. 10-course minimum |
| Core | $59.95 per user a year | Unlimited access to the full library for each user, the AI phishing simulator with 200+ templates, automated phishing campaigns, real-time threat alerts, risk analysis, reusable seats |
| Ultimate | $89.95 per user a year | Everything in Core plus the AI course authoring tool: prompt-based course creation, PDF-to-course conversion, AI editing, image and narration tools, and unlimited SCORM import and hosting |
| Dedicated onboarding | Core and Ultimate | For accounts with 100+ seats; Pay Per Course is self-serve |
| Dedicated CSM | Core and Ultimate | For accounts with 50+ seats |
| SCORM plan | Quote | EasyLlama courses packaged as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI files to run inside your existing LMS |
| Customization Services | Quote | White-labeling, custom course development, custom integrations and API access, SSO/SAML, an account manager and a custom SLA |
One detail is easy to miss. The comparison table shows REST API, webhooks and "Advanced Integrations (HRIS, SSO, SCIM, SFTP, etc.)" as included on all three plans, while the FAQ lists "custom integrations and API access" and "SSO/SAML authentication" as part of the quoted Customization Services package. Google and Microsoft sign-in (OAuth) is on every plan. If your security team needs SAML with Okta or Entra ID, ask in writing which plan covers it before you sign.
What EasyLlama costs at 10, 25, 100, 500 and 1,000 users
Here is a year of each plan, multiplied straight off the card. The Pay Per Course columns assume one course and three courses per employee, which is the realistic range for a company that runs harassment prevention plus a couple of security or conduct refreshers.
| Users | Pay Per Course, 1 course each | Pay Per Course, 3 courses each | Core | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $249.50 | $748.50 | $599.50 | $899.50 |
| 25 | $623.75 | $1,871.25 | $1,498.75 | $2,248.75 |
| 100 | $2,495 | $7,485 | $5,995 | $8,995 |
| 500 | $12,475 | $37,425 | $29,975 | $44,975 |
| 1,000 | $24,950 | $74,850 | $59,950 | $89,950 |
EasyLlama shows no volume discount on the pricing page, so the per-user rate is the same at 10 users as at 1,000. At 500 users and above that is worth testing in a negotiation, because Traliant and Ethena both describe lower rates for larger teams. Plan changes are prorated: an upgrade applies immediately and a downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.
Is EasyLlama Pay Per Course or Core cheaper?
Pay Per Course is cheaper when the average employee takes two courses a year or fewer; Core is cheaper from three. Core costs the same as 2.4 course assignments ($59.95 against $24.95), so the break-even sits between two and three courses per person.
Two things push real companies toward Core sooner than the arithmetic suggests. First, Core comes with the phishing simulator, which Pay Per Course does not include at all, so a company that also needs security awareness training would otherwise buy a second tool. Second, seats. On Pay Per Course an assignment is used up the moment it is assigned to a learner, and the plan table marks reusable seats as Core and Ultimate only. A restaurant group, retailer or staffing firm with high turnover burns through assignments on people who leave; on Core the seat passes to the next hire.
Pay Per Course stays the right buy for a small office that only needs the state-mandated harassment course once a year and has stable headcount.
EasyLlama Core vs Ultimate, and what $30 more buys
Ultimate costs $30 more per user a year than Core and adds one thing: building your own training. That means the AI course authoring tool (write a prompt or upload a PDF and get a draft course), AI editing, an image generator, AI narration and voice tools, and unlimited SCORM uploads with completion and score tracking.
For 100 users that is an extra $3,000 a year, and for 500 users an extra $15,000, charged on every user whether or not they ever take a custom course. That is the key question for Ultimate: the authoring feature is used by a few admins, but it is priced across your whole headcount.
If your main reason to look at Ultimate is turning your own policies, SOPs and onboarding into courses, compare the cost with a platform priced for that job. CompanyLMS builds courses from a PDF, video or template on every plan, from $4 per active learner a month, and a team can keep EasyLlama Core for the legal library.
EasyLlama pricing against Traliant, Ethena and NAVEX
Five of the six vendors US buyers usually shortlist print a number. Here is the same job priced on each card: a full compliance catalog for 500 learners for one year.
| Vendor | Harassment training only | Full catalog per learner a year | 500 learners, full catalog | Conditions on the rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EasyLlama | $24.95 per course assignment | $59.95 (Core) | $29,975 | 10 minimum, steps of 5, no term stated |
| Emtrain | No single-course price on the card; per-course SCORM licenses by quote | $50 (Basic) | $25,000, or $22,500 a year on 3 years | 100-user minimum, quote above 500 learners |
| Traliant | $13.95 (Essential, 1 Topic) | $30.95 (Complete), $34.94 with Plus | $15,475, or $17,470 with Plus | Stated for 500 learners on a 3-year plan |
| Ethena | $20 (Harassment and Workplace Violence bundle) | $50 (entire catalog) | $25,000 | Premium, for teams over 100, by quote with volume discounts |
| NAVEX | No published rate | No published rate | Quote only | Usually sold inside a wider NAVEX One bundle |
On the cards, EasyLlama is the most expensive full catalog of the four that print one. What the higher price buys is breadth at the listed rate: phishing simulations, an anonymous reporting tool with case management, policy sign-off and 50+ HRIS integrations including Workday and ADP are all inside Core. At Ethena the Workday and ADP sync and policy attestation sit on Premium, and the hotline costs extra; at Traliant the HR system connection sits on Plus. Our EasyLlama vs Traliant pricing, EasyLlama vs Ethena pricing and EasyLlama vs Emtrain pricing comparisons work through the break-even points at 25 to 1,000 learners.
Training on your own policies, priced per active learner

A compliance library covers the subjects the law names. It does not cover your employee handbook, your safety procedures, your new-hire onboarding or the certifications your crews have to renew. In most US small and mid-sized companies that is where the bulk of training hours go, and it is what CompanyLMS is built for.
You build a course from a PDF, a video or a template, attach a quiz with a pass mark, assign it by role, team or location, and every employee gets a dated completion record you can export. Certifications carry an expiry date with reminders before they lapse. Pricing is published: $4, $7 or $12 per active learner a month, or $3, $6 and $9 billed annually, and you pay only for people who trained that month.
Plenty of companies run both: EasyLlama Pay Per Course or Core for the state harassment course, CompanyLMS for everything specific to how they work. See compliance training software pricing for budgets at 100, 500 and 5,000 employees.
Questions to ask before you sign an EasyLlama order
- Which plan covers SAML SSO and the API for us? The plan table and the FAQ describe this differently. Get the answer in writing.
- How many courses will the average employee take? Under two a year, Pay Per Course is cheaper; three or more, Core wins.
- What is our turnover? Reusable seats are Core and Ultimate only. High turnover makes Pay Per Course more expensive than it looks.
- Do we need phishing simulations? They are on Core and Ultimate only. If you already pay for a security awareness tool, Core may be paying twice.
- Is there a volume rate at our headcount? The page shows none. At 500 users and above, ask.
- Are we on a legacy plan? EasyLlama says changing plans or adding features may move a legacy account to the new pricing, so check the renewal figure before you add anything.
Why teams pick CompanyLMS
One platform for courses, onboarding, compliance and certifications
Billed for people who trained
CompanyLMS charges per active learner each month. A seasonal hire who finishes onboarding in June and leaves in August costs you three months, not a year, and there is no minimum course count to buy up front.
Your handbook as the course
Upload a policy PDF or record a short video, add a quiz with a pass mark and assign it by role or location. Every completion is dated and exportable for an audit or an insurer.
Annual renewals on autopilot
Mark yearly harassment or safety training as a certification with an expiry date, and CompanyLMS reminds each person and their manager before it lapses.
