UKG LMS alternatives: UKG learning management system and integrations
Yes, UKG has an LMS. It is UKG Pro Learning, formerly UltiPro Learning.
UKG publishes no price for it. Here is what it documents, and what connects to UKG Pro instead.
Courses, onboarding & compliance · one platform · flat per seat
UKG Pro Learning is a module of UKG Pro, quoted through UKG sales, and neither UKG product document we read contains a single dollar amount. Its help center documents SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, xAPI and cmi5, with one caveat: xAPI reporting only parallels SCORM 2004. CompanyLMS is a standalone training platform with a published per-seat rate and certification tracking that does not depend on which HCM you run.
Side by side
UKG Pro Learning vs CompanyLMS, honestly
A fair look at what each does well. Both are capable tools. Here is where they differ.
| What matters | CompanyLMS | UKG Pro Learning |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | $4 per active learner a month on Team, $7 on Business, Enterprise quoted | None. The UKG Pro Learning product profile and product page contain zero dollar amounts, and neither uses the words price or cost |
| How it is bought | On its own, by whoever owns training, whatever HR system you run | As part of UKG Pro. UKG sells the HCM suite and prices modules through sales |
| Content standards documented | SCORM 1.2 and 2004, plus video, PDF and native authoring | SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 (multiple editions), AICC, xAPI and cmi5 in the UKG Learning help center. xAPI reporting parallels SCORM 2004 |
| Named UKG connector | No named UKG connector. SSO and SCIM provisioning on Enterprise, so joiners and leavers flow from your identity provider | Native. The worker record is already in UKG Pro |
| Gamification | Not offered. We do not ship points, badges or leaderboards | Badges, certifications, leaderboards, communities and newsfeeds are all named in the product profile |
| Best suited for | US companies of roughly 25 to 5,000 employees that need training assigned, renewed and provable on a rate they can read first | UKG Pro customers who want learning inside the same system as payroll, time and HR, and have budget for a module quote |

The shortlist
UKG LMS alternatives, and what each one charges
Nine platforms a US buyer shortlists when UKG Pro Learning is on the table. Four publish a rate you can read today. Five, UKG among them, will not show a number without a sales conversation. The UKG connector details were read on each vendor site and the UKG Marketplace on 10 September 2026.
| Platform | Best for | Pricing model | What stands out | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyLMS | US companies from about 25 to 5,000 employees that want training assigned, renewed and provable, on a rate they can see before buying | Published. Team $4 and Business $7 per active learner a month, Enterprise quoted. Team carries a 25 learner minimum and annual billing saves about twenty percent. No implementation fee | Compliance training and certification tracking with renewal reminders and an audit trail, bought without owning a particular HCM | No named UKG connector. User sync runs through SSO and SCIM on Enterprise, so if a native UKG Pro connector is a hard requirement, Cornerstone, Absorb or 360Learning name one and we do not |
| UKG Pro Learning | UKG Pro customers who want learning, time, payroll and HR in one system of record | Quoted. Zero dollar amounts in the UKG product profile or on the product page. Priced through UKG sales as part of UKG Pro | A branded training academy, Zoom, Webex and GoToTraining for remote sessions, a mobile app for iOS and Android, support for external learners, and the widest content-standard list on this page, xAPI and cmi5 included | Not sold without UKG Pro. xAPI reporting only parallels SCORM 2004, so statement-level xAPI data is not the point of supporting it. The public product profile carries a 2020 copyright |
| Cornerstone | Large regulated enterprises that want learning, talent and succession from one vendor | Quoted. There is no pricing page, and its /pricing/ URL redirects into a platform page with zero dollar amounts | Listed on the UKG Marketplace with a bi-directional UKG Pro integration: completed transcripts and course records sync from Cornerstone into UKG Pro in real time, and a UKG Pro Workforce Management view shows past due, assigned, in progress and completed training | Priced per module, so the quote grows with the requirement list, and implementation is a project rather than a setup |
| Absorb LMS | Compliance-led programs at companies with a real HRIS estate to connect | Quoted across eight learner bands. No rate published anywhere on the site | Names a UKG Pro Connector that pulls employee profiles, departments and reporting structures from UKG Pro into Absorb, and lists UKG Pro among its most popular HCM integrations with Workday, Dayforce and ADP | The connector is described as pulling from UKG Pro. Confirm in writing whether completions are written back, because the Absorb page does not say so |
| 360Learning | Collaborative, in-house authoring cultures where subject matter experts build the courses | Published entry rate. $8 per registered user a month on the Team plan up to 100 users, then quoted | Describes a native, certified integration with both UKG Pro and UKG Ready, with employee data synced daily and training stats flowing back into UKG. Also listed on the UKG Marketplace | Single sign-on is not included on the published $8 plan, so the tier you would actually buy is the quoted one |
| Docebo | Mid-market and enterprise buyers who want a configurable platform and extended enterprise audiences | Quoted, billed on yearly active users. The pricing page carries no plan rate, and UKG is not named anywhere on it | Deep automation rules, extended enterprise portals and a published integration count per tier (4 on Elevate, 6 on Enterprise) | A UKG feed counts against a small integration allowance, and several integrations including Teams and Salesforce are sold as paid add-ons. Ask how the UKG connection is delivered and whether it carries its own fee |
| TalentLMS | Small and mid-sized teams that want a published rate and a fast start | Published. Core starts at $119 a month for 1 to 40 users, with bands running up to 801 to 1,000 users | The whole price card is public, and SAML SSO and the API are on the cheapest paid tier | UKG is not named anywhere on its integrations page. For a UKG shop that means an API or middleware project, which is the usual reason a TalentLMS shortlist collapses late |
| LearnUpon | Companies training several distinct audiences through separate portals | Quoted, with a published 100-user minimum. No rate on the pricing page | Multi-portal architecture keeps partner, customer and employee training separate without buying three tenants | Its own integrations page does not name UKG. Ask for the connector documentation before assuming one exists |
| MoodleCloud | Small, budget-bound programs that can live without any HR integration | Published annual plans from $170 for 50 users to $2,150 for 750. Australian dollars are the billed currency and the US figure is a conversion | The cheapest published per-user cost in the category, on open standards | Its FAQ states you cannot install any plugins or integrations on any plan, so there is no way to connect it to UKG Pro at all |
Pricing reflects publicly reported figures and third-party marketplace data as of September 2026. Most vendors quote privately, so treat ranges as planning anchors and confirm with each vendor.
Buying guide
UKG Pro Learning, read from UKG documents rather than review sites
UKG product pages sit behind a verification wall, so these facts come from the UKG Pro Learning product profile, the product page and the UKG Learning help center (archived copies from May, August and October 2025), plus the live UKG Marketplace and each vendor site on 10 September 2026.
Does UKG have an LMS?
Yes. UKG sells a learning management system called UKG Pro Learning. Its own product profile describes it as "a modern, flexible solution that delivers consumable, on-demand content, when and where it is convenient for the learner," and notes the product was formerly UltiPro Learning, from before Ultimate Software and Kronos merged into UKG.
What the documents describe is a conventional corporate LMS with a social layer. You can build a branded training academy, assign access through a flexible organizational structure, convert existing content into online courses or add third-party content, track progress on a reporting dashboard, measure compliance scores, and configure notifications so compliance deadlines are met. Remote sessions run through Zoom, Webex and GoToTraining integrations, in-person sessions carry a location map, and there is a mobile app for iOS and Android. It also supports external learners.
The structural fact is the same one that shapes every HR-suite LMS: Pro Learning is part of UKG Pro. If you already run UKG Pro, learning arrives with your worker data and org structure in place. If you do not, evaluating it means evaluating a payroll and HR platform, and the training requirement stops being the thing being decided.
Is UKG Pro Learning SCORM compliant?
Yes, and it documents more standards than most HR-suite learning modules. The SCORM Files Guide in the UKG Learning help center states the Learning solution is compatible with SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 (multiple editions), AICC, xAPI and cmi5.
The caveat sits in a note directly underneath: "The Learning solution is compatible with xAPI, but the reporting functionalities within the solution parallel those of SCORM 2004." In plain terms, an xAPI package will play, but you should not expect the statement-level activity reporting that is usually the reason to choose xAPI. The guide also says xAPI and cmi5 packages are not designed to run inside a frame, so the Open in New Window option is greyed out for them, and that an upload zip must not contain other zip files.
| Standard | UKG Learning help center | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| SCORM 1.2 | Compatible | Nothing unusual |
| SCORM 2004 | Compatible, multiple editions | Which editions, if a vendor ships 4th Edition |
| AICC | Compatible | Only relevant for older libraries |
| xAPI | Compatible, reporting parallels SCORM 2004 | Whether any statement-level data is kept |
| cmi5 | Compatible, opens outside the frame | How launch and completion are recorded |
That is a real contrast with Workday, whose administrator guide names AICC and two SCORM versions and never mentions xAPI or cmi5. We cover it on Workday LMS alternatives. If standards are your main filter, SCORM compliant LMS sets the field side by side.
How much does UKG Pro Learning cost?
UKG does not publish a price for Pro Learning. We ran a visible-text scan across the product profile and the product page, stripping markup first: zero dollar amounts, and neither document uses the words price or cost. Every per-employee figure you will find online for the module is a third-party estimate, not a UKG rate.
Because Pro Learning is sold as part of UKG Pro, its cost usually lands as a line inside a larger HCM contract, negotiated at renewal alongside payroll, time and HR. That makes it hard to compare against a standalone LMS quote, and it means the number reflects your whole UKG relationship as much as the training requirement.
The practical way to get a reference point is to price the job independently before you negotiate. A standalone platform with a published rate tells you what the training requirement costs on its own. For CompanyLMS that is $4 per active learner a month on Team and $7 on Business, so a 500 person company with every employee active costs $24,000 a year on Team or $42,000 on Business, before the annual discount. For how nine enterprise platforms count a user, which moves the total more than the rate does, see enterprise LMS pricing.
Which LMS platforms integrate with UKG Pro?
Plenty of platforms claim an HRIS integration. Far fewer name UKG on their own pages. Here is what each vendor actually states, read on 10 September 2026.
| Platform | What it names | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Cornerstone | Bi-directional UKG Pro integration on the UKG Marketplace, plus a UKG Pro Workforce Management training view | Both ways. Transcripts and course records sync into UKG Pro in real time |
| Absorb LMS | UKG Pro Connector | Pulls employee profiles, departments and reporting structures from UKG Pro |
| 360Learning | Native, certified integration with UKG Pro and UKG Ready | Employee data syncs daily. Training stats flow back into UKG |
| Docebo | UKG not named on the pricing page | Ask |
| TalentLMS | UKG not named on the integrations page | None named |
| LearnUpon | UKG not named on the integrations page | Ask |
| MoodleCloud | No plugins or integrations on any plan | Not possible |
| CompanyLMS | No named UKG connector. SSO and SCIM on Enterprise | Users flow from your identity provider |
The UKG Marketplace is the other place to look. Its Learning and Performance category lists learning apps beside Cornerstone, including Schoox, Axonify, ClearCo Learning Management, 360Learning, AG5 and OpenSesame. A Marketplace listing tells you a partnership exists. It does not tell you which direction data flows, so ask that question of every vendor.
The test that saves the most time is short. Write down three things: which system creates the employee record, which system must receive the completion, and which identity provider signs people in. Then check each shortlisted vendor against all three. LMS integrations by plan covers the second half of that problem, which is the tier each vendor puts the connector on.
What UKG Pro Learning does well
It is worth being fair to the product, because for some buyers it is the right answer.
The social features are more developed than most HR-suite modules. The product profile names communities, leaderboards, newsfeeds, online badges and certifications, and lets employees follow their own progress and their team. If gamified engagement matters to your program, that is a genuine point in its favor, and CompanyLMS does not offer points, badges or leaderboards at all.
The content-standard list is the broadest on this page. And for a UKG Pro shop, the integration you never have to build is a real saving every year: new hires appear in the LMS on day one, and org changes flow through without an admin re-mapping groups.
The public documentation is thin, though, and old. The UKG Pro Learning product profile carries a 2020 copyright, and UKG publishes almost nothing newer about the module on open pages. Ask for a current product roadmap and a live demo on your own content rather than working from the datasheet.
UKG Pro Learning or a standalone LMS: how to decide
The decision mostly follows what you already own.
Stay with UKG Pro Learning if you run UKG Pro, your training is largely role-based and tied to org structure, and you want completion data in the same system as payroll and scheduling. The gamification and social features are a bonus.
Keep UKG and add a platform with a named connector if you need deeper compliance, extended enterprise or a large content catalog. Cornerstone writes transcripts back into UKG Pro, Absorb pulls your org structure out of it, and 360Learning syncs both ways daily.
Buy a standalone LMS if you are under a few thousand employees, need a rate you can budget this quarter, or the training owner needs to decide this without opening an HCM negotiation. That is where CompanyLMS fits: a published per-seat rate, certification tracking with automatic renewal reminders, and an audit trail you can hand over without an export.
If your program is compliance-led, start with the best compliance training software. If you are comparing HR suites, ADP LMS alternatives and Rippling LMS alternatives cover the same question for those platforms.
What to put in writing before you sign
Five questions change the number or the outcome, and all five are fair to ask in writing.
Is Pro Learning priced per employee on the whole UKG Pro population, or only on learners? A module on an HCM contract is often counted on total headcount. Which content standards run natively, and what reporting do xAPI and cmi5 packages keep? Get the answer against your own sample packages. Does the mobile app support offline completion, and does it sync back automatically? Can external learners, such as contractors or franchise staff, be licensed separately from employees? What does it cost to move historical completion records in, and out again if you leave?
That last one matters most for regulated programs. Years of certification history that an auditor may ask for are an asset only if they can move. Plan the migration as part of the purchase, using the sequence in our LMS implementation plan.
Why teams pick CompanyLMS
One platform for courses, onboarding, compliance and certifications
A rate you can read before the call
UKG publishes no price for Pro Learning, and the UKG documents that describe it never mention price or cost at all. The first real number arrives after discovery calls, bundled into a UKG Pro renewal. CompanyLMS publishes its per-seat rate on the pricing page, so the budget line exists before anyone talks to sales.
Training you can buy without the HCM
UKG Pro Learning comes with UKG Pro. That makes a training purchase part of an HR platform contract and moves the decision away from the person who runs training. CompanyLMS sits beside whatever HR system you run, and on Enterprise it takes users from your identity provider through SCIM.
Certifications that chase themselves
Assigning a course is easy. Proving fourteen months later that it was assigned, completed and renewed is the part auditors ask for. CompanyLMS tracks expiry dates, sends renewal reminders on its own and keeps a per-employee record you can hand over without an export.
