Ethena charges $20 per learner for harassment training and $50 for its full catalog; EasyLlama charges $24.95 per course and $59.95 for Core. Here is what each costs at 25 to 1,000 learners, and why an ADP or Workday sync changes the answer.

Ethena is cheaper on the rate card: $20 per learner a year for harassment and workplace violence training against $24.95 per course on EasyLlama, and $50 for its entire catalog against $59.95 for EasyLlama Core. That makes Ethena about 17% cheaper for a full catalog. The catch is what each price includes. EasyLlama's $59.95 already covers 50+ HRIS integrations (Workday and ADP among them), phishing simulations and an anonymous reporting tool. Ethena's $50 covers a Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR or ChartHop sync; Workday, ADP, UKG and Paylocity sit on Premium, which shows no price, and its hotline costs extra.
Both pricing pages were read on 23 October 2026. Both vendors print real numbers, which is rare in compliance training: our Traliant pricing page covers the third vendor that does, and NAVEX, as our NAVEX compliance training pricing page shows, prints none.

What EasyLlama and Ethena cost at 25 to 1,000 learners
Here is a year of each, priced straight off the two cards. For harassment-only training, EasyLlama's Pay Per Course plan is the comparable option, one course assignment per learner. For a full catalog it is EasyLlama Core against Ethena's entire catalog.
| Learners | EasyLlama, 1 course each ($24.95) | Ethena harassment ($20) | EasyLlama Core ($59.95) | Ethena full catalog ($50) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | $624 | $500 | $1,499 | $1,250 |
| 50 | $1,248 | $1,000 | $2,998 | $2,500 |
| 100 | $2,495 | $2,000 | $5,995 | $5,000 |
| 500 | $12,475 | $10,000 | $29,975 | $25,000* |
| 1,000 | $24,950 | $20,000 | $59,950 | $50,000* |
*Ethena positions Premium for teams over 100 people and says volume discounts are available there, so at 500 and 1,000 learners the real Ethena figure is a Premium quote that could land above or below the card rate. EasyLlama states no volume discount on its page, and its numbers move in steps of five users.
Is Ethena cheaper than EasyLlama?
On the rate card, yes, by about 20% for harassment training and 17% for the full catalog, at every company size. Whether it is cheaper for you depends on one question: which HR system do you run? If it is Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR or ChartHop, Ethena's Standard sync handles new hires and leavers at the published price, and Ethena is the cheaper buy. If it is Workday, ADP, UKG, Paylocity or TriNet, Ethena puts that connector on Premium, and Premium has no published price. EasyLlama includes those systems at $59.95. At that point you are comparing a known $59.95 against an unknown Premium quote, and the honest answer is that you need the quote before you can say.
The same logic applies to two other line items. EasyLlama bundles an anonymous reporting tool and phishing simulations with 200+ templates into Core. Ethena sells its hotline and case management at additional cost and does not price its phishing simulator on the page. If you would buy those anyway, add them to Ethena's side before you compare totals.
When EasyLlama's Pay Per Course beats Core
Core costs the same as 2.4 course assignments ($59.95 against $24.95). An employee who needs harassment prevention and nothing else is cheaper on Pay Per Course. Once the average employee takes three courses a year, which is normal after harassment prevention, security awareness and a code of conduct refresher, Core wins. Pay Per Course also carries a 10-course minimum sold in steps of five, so a five-person office pays for ten assignments either way.
Ethena has the same shape with different numbers: its full catalog costs 2.5 times its harassment bundle ($50 against $20), so a team that needs more than two or three topics is better off on the catalog.
What each price leaves out
EasyLlama. SSO and SAML, API access, white-labeling and custom course development sit in a Customization Services package priced by quote. Packaging EasyLlama courses as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI files for your existing LMS is a separate SCORM plan, also by quote. Importing and hosting your own SCORM courses inside EasyLlama needs Ultimate at $89.95. There is no free trial; EasyLlama offers demos instead.
Ethena. Premium holds the features most mid-sized companies end up asking for: SSO with 20+ providers, Workday and ADP sync, course files as SCORM, AICC or xAPI, policy attestation, uploading your own courses and a dedicated customer success manager. The API, the course builder and custom reporting dashboards are add-ons even on Premium. Course customization, which Ethena says includes custom employee pulse surveys, is on Premium too. If a pulse check is really what you are after, a standalone employee pulse survey tool runs one without a plan upgrade.
Which one fits your company
Choose Ethena if you are under 100 employees, run Rippling, Gusto or BambooHR, and mainly need state harassment and workplace violence training. It is the cheapest published option of the two and you can buy the bundle straight from the pricing page.
Choose EasyLlama if you run Workday, ADP or Paylocity, want phishing simulation and an anonymous reporting channel in the same contract, or want one per-user number that already includes the HRIS sync. Expect to pay about $10 more per user a year for that certainty.
Get both quotes if you are over 100 employees and need SSO. Neither vendor prints a price for SSO, so the published rates stop being comparable at exactly the point most mid-sized buyers care about.
Where your own policies fit
Both vendors sell a library of legally vetted courses. Neither is built around the training that is specific to your company: the employee handbook, safety procedures, onboarding for each role, and the certifications that expire on a schedule. Most companies run that alongside a compliance library rather than inside it.
That is the job compliance training software like CompanyLMS does. Upload a policy as a PDF or video, add a quiz with a pass mark, assign it by team or role, and every employee gets a dated completion record. Certifications carry expiry dates with reminders before they lapse. Pricing is published at $4, $7 or $12 per active learner a month, lower billed annually, and you pay only for people who trained that month. For budgets across the whole category, see compliance training software pricing at 100, 500 and 5,000 employees.
