Ethena vs Traliant Pricing per Learner for Compliance Training
Traliant starts at $13.95 per learner a year for harassment and $34.94 for its full catalog with Plus, on a 500-learner, 3-year rate. Ethena charges $20 and $50 with no stated term. Here is what each costs at 50 to 1,000 learners.

For harassment prevention alone, Traliant starts at $13.95 per learner a year and Ethena charges $20. For a full compliance catalog, Traliant Complete with the Plus platform is $34.94 per learner a year and Ethena's entire catalog is $50. So Traliant's headline rates are lower, but they are stated "for 500 learners on a 3-year plan", while Ethena prints one rate with no term attached and lets companies under 100 employees buy by card the same day. At 100 learners a full catalog comes to about $3,494 a year on Traliant as a floor, against $5,000 on Ethena.
Both pricing pages were read on 19 October 2026. Both vendors publish real numbers, which already puts them ahead of most of this market: NAVEX, for example, prints none, as our NAVEX pricing for compliance training page shows.

What each one costs at 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 learners
Here is the arithmetic for a year, on the two packages most buyers actually choose: harassment only, and the full catalog. For Traliant's full catalog we add Plus, because that is where the HR system connection and your own course hosting live.
| Learners | Ethena harassment ($20) | Traliant Essential ($13.95) | Ethena full catalog ($50) | Traliant Complete plus Plus ($34.94) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $1,000 | $698* | $2,500 | $1,747* |
| 100 | $2,000 | $1,395* | $5,000 | $3,494* |
| 500 | $10,000 | $6,975 | $25,000 | $17,470 |
| 1,000 | $20,000 | $13,950** | $50,000 | $34,940** |
*Below 500 learners Traliant's published rate is a floor, because "per-learner pricing drops as your team grows", which means it rises as your team shrinks. **At 1,000 learners Traliant also lists an Enterprise column with a custom quote, and the per-learner rate should come in under the 500-learner figure. Both Traliant columns assume a 3-year term; a 1-year term costs more per year.
Is Ethena cheaper than Traliant?
Usually not on list price. At the 500-learner, 3-year rate Traliant is about 30% cheaper for both harassment-only and full-catalog training. Ethena can come out level or ahead for a small team that wants a 1-year commitment, because Ethena's $20 and $50 carry no stated term or volume condition and Traliant's smaller, shorter deals are priced above the published floor. Ask Traliant for a 1-year figure at your exact headcount and compare that, not the headline.
Why Traliant's rate is a starting point and Ethena's is not
Traliant is unusually open about how its price moves: "Two things move your price: how many people you train and how long your term is." The plan you pick is the third lever. Essential covers one Learning Topic, Pro covers three or one Learning Track, and Complete covers all 40 Topics. Traliant defines a Topic as more than a course: "the course, plus Micro Reels, refreshers and tools that keep it working all year."
Every plan includes Core, which Traliant describes as delivery "on our LMS, or yours", automatic assignments and completion reporting, SSO, translations in 100+ languages and your logo and policies added during setup. Plus, from $3.99, adds behavioral analytics, editing courses yourself, connecting your HR system for automatic assignment, hosting your own courses next to Traliant's, and written questions and consultations with Traliant's in-house attorneys.
A multi-year term is the part that deserves the most care, since it is the condition that makes the low rate possible. If you take it, track the renewal date, the notice window and any uplift cap wherever finance keeps contracts, and ask what happens to completion records if you leave after year three.
What Ethena's $20 and $50 include, and what sits on Premium
Ethena sells two course packages: Harassment and Workplace Violence Prevention at $20 per learner a year, and the entire catalog at $50. The catalog page lists harassment prevention of up to three hours, workplace violence prevention, code of conduct, data privacy, cybersecurity awareness, HIPAA, anti-bribery and corruption, hiring and interviewing, and management essentials. Ethena says its harassment course "meets all U.S. state and local requirements", naming California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Chicago, Maine, New York and New York City.
The plan comparison has two columns, Standard and Premium. Standard already covers most of what a small HR team needs: magic-link login without passwords, reminders by email, Slack and Zoom chat, automatic location-specific harassment assignments, new-hire auto-enrollment, CSV upload, unlimited admins, manager views and downloadable transcripts. Premium adds uploading your own courses, policy attestation, course customization, SSO, the Workday, ADP, UKG, Paylocity and TriNet integrations, SCORM, AICC and xAPI files, and a dedicated customer success manager. The API, a course builder and custom reporting dashboards are add-ons even on Premium, and Premium shows no price.
Ethena pitches its courses on going "beyond checking a box". If that is the real goal behind the purchase, it is worth measuring separately: a short culture assessment before and after the rollout tells you more about whether behavior changed than a completion rate ever will.
Which one fits your company
Choose Ethena if you are under 100 employees and want to buy this week by card, if your HRIS is Rippling, Gusto or BambooHR and the Standard sync is enough, or if you will not sign a 3-year term. The $20 harassment bundle is the simplest way to cover a California, New York or Illinois requirement for a small team.
Choose Traliant if you have a few hundred learners or more, can commit to three years, need SSO without a premium tier, or want access to employment attorneys through Plus. At 500 learners it is the cheaper full catalog of the two by about $7,500 a year.
Ask both for a written 1-year price at your exact headcount before you decide. That single number settles most of these comparisons.
Where your own policies fit
Ethena and Traliant both sell a library about the law. Neither one writes the training only you can write: your code of conduct, your incident reporting steps, your safety procedures, your expense approval rules. Hosting that content costs extra on both (Ethena Premium or Traliant Plus), and it still sits in a compliance vendor's platform rather than your own.
That is the job compliance training software like CompanyLMS does. Upload a policy as a PDF or video, add a quiz with a pass mark, assign it by team or role, and mark it as a certification with a renewal date so every employee gets a reminder before it lapses. Team is $4 per active learner a month, or $3 billed annually, from 25 learners; Business is $7, or $6 annually, from 10 learners, and adds compliance and certification tracking. Plenty of companies run a content vendor for the legal courses and CompanyLMS for everything else. For full budgets at 100, 500 and 5,000 employees, see compliance training software pricing, and for the renewal side, certification tracking software.
Ethena vs Traliant pricing FAQ
How much does Ethena cost?
Ethena publishes $20 per learner a year for its Harassment and Workplace Violence Prevention bundle and $50 per learner a year for its entire catalog. Companies under 100 employees can buy by card on the pricing page. Premium features, hotline and case management are priced separately and show no rate.
How much does Traliant cost?
Traliant publishes Essential from $13.95, Pro from $21.95 and Complete from $30.95 per learner a year, plus an optional Plus platform from $3.99. Those rates are for 500 learners on a 3-year plan, so smaller teams and shorter terms pay more. Enterprise pricing is by quote.
Does Traliant or Ethena include SSO?
Traliant includes SSO in Core, which comes with every plan. Ethena lists SSO, with more than 20 providers including Okta, OneLogin and Google, in its Premium column only. If SSO is a hard requirement, price Ethena Premium before you compare the two.
Can I upload my own courses to Ethena or Traliant?
Yes, on the upgraded tier of each. Ethena lists uploading courses and policy attestation on Premium, and Traliant lists hosting your own courses in the Traliant LMS on Plus, from $3.99 per learner a year. A separate LMS is the other route if most of your training is your own.
