Compare · Hotel LMS vendors
Best LMS for hotels and hospitality training software
The best LMS for a hotel is the one housekeeping, front desk and banquet staff can finish on a phone, that assigns the right path by department on the hire date, and that shows you which certificates expire before the next inspection.
Most vendors in this category quote a price. CompanyLMS publishes $7 per learner seat a month ($6 billed annually), and a seat can be reassigned to the next hire when a seasonal employee leaves.
Courses, onboarding & compliance · one platform · per active learner
Hotel LMS vendors mostly quote, per property or per registered user. CompanyLMS publishes a per learner seat price, treats each property as a team, and tracks department onboarding, required training and certificate expiry in one plan. Choose it for training and renewals across one or many properties; choose a hotel operations platform if you also need housekeeping task boards or PMS-linked checklists.

Hotel LMS vendors vs CompanyLMS, honestly
A fair look at what each does well. Both are capable tools. Here is where they differ.
| What matters | CompanyLMS | Hotel LMS vendors |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | $7 per learner seat a month on Business, $6 billed annually, 10-learner minimum | Mostly quoted per property or per registered user; TalentLMS publishes user bands |
| Seasonal staff | Seats are reassigned to the next hire, so a summer team does not leave dead accounts | Often counted until an admin deactivates the account |
| Department paths | Front desk, housekeeping, F&B and maintenance paths by role and start date on Business | Available on most platforms, sometimes a higher tier |
| Certificate expiry | Renewal intervals and reminders before the due date, exportable as CSV | Varies; ask whether expiry reminders are included |
| Hotel operations tools | Training only. No housekeeping task board, PMS link or guest messaging | Operations platforms bundle task lists and room status |
| Implementation | Self-serve, workspace opens after checkout | Trainual requires a $1,000 fee; others include onboarding in the quote |

The shortlist
Hotel LMS vendors and how each one prices
Two of the six publish a rate. Schoox, Axonify, Trainual and Docebo figures come from their own pricing pages and FAQs; TalentLMS from its pricing page; CompanyLMS is our own product.
| Platform | Best for | Published price | What stands out | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Schoox | Hotel groups that want native branded apps across many properties | Quote only. Priced on learner count, internal or external learners and how often they access the platform | All platform functionality standard, org structure across locations, 32 learner languages, native iOS and Android apps at no extra cost, 24/7 in-house support | Course Marketplace content is licensed separately |
| Axonify | Large hospitality and retail frontlines | Quote only. Three packages, Core, Pro and Premium | Daily microlearning and reinforcement built for hourly staff | Manager coaching tools start at Pro; enterprise layer at Premium |
| Trainual | Independent hotels that run on written SOPs, 25 to 1,000 employees | Quote only. $1,000 one-time implementation fee, marked required on every plan | Fast documentation of processes and roles, HR and payroll syncs with Gusto and BambooHR | No SCORM upload on Core; SSO from Premium |
| TalentLMS | Steady rosters of 40 to 500 people that fit inside a user band | Published. Core from $119 a month billed yearly for up to 40 users; Grow to 500 users; Pro to 1,000 | Lowest published sticker price at steady headcount | Crossing a band moves the whole plan, which seasonal hiring can trigger; confirm how deactivated users count |
| Docebo | Large hotel companies with 250 or more learners and an L&D team | Quote only. Monthly, yearly or registered active users, one-year minimum | Deep enterprise features, integrations and content marketplace | Many paid add-ons; yearly active users behave like headcount if everyone takes one annual course |
| CompanyLMS Business | Independent hotels and small groups running onboarding, required training and certificate renewals by property and department | Published. $7 per learner seat a month, $6 billed annually, 10-learner minimum | Properties as teams, role paths by department, certificate expiry with reminders, compliance board and CSV export in one price | Training only; no housekeeping task board, PMS integration or native branded app |
Pricing reflects each vendor's own pricing or help pages where they exist, and labelled third-party data where they do not. Most vendors quote privately, so treat ranges as planning anchors and confirm with each vendor.
Buying guide
Hotel LMS pricing and buying guide
What hotel training software costs, how seasonal hiring changes the bill, what to track by department, and how to pick for your size.
How much does hotel training software cost?
Hotel training software ranges from a published $119 a month for up to 40 users on TalentLMS to custom quotes for Schoox, Axonify, Trainual and Docebo, and CompanyLMS Business is $7 per learner seat a month or $6 billed annually. Only two of the six vendors compared here print a rate, so most hotel managers learn the number on a sales call.
Here is our arithmetic on CompanyLMS published rates for three typical property sizes. The other vendors quote, so no figure is invented for them.
| Seats | Billed annually at $6 | Billed monthly at $7 |
|---|---|---|
| 60 (one limited-service hotel) | $4,320 a year | $5,040 a year |
| 150 (full-service hotel) | $10,800 a year | $12,600 a year |
| 300 (three-property group) | $21,600 a year | $25,200 a year |
Seat counts are examples, not benchmarks. Size yours to the people who must be trained at one time, and check the full rate card on the CompanyLMS pricing page.
What should a hotel LMS do?
A hotel LMS has to get each new hire trained for a department in the first week, prove it, and warn you before a required certificate lapses. That comes down to five jobs:
- Department paths. Front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, banquets and maintenance each get their own sequence, assigned by role and start date.
- Properties as groups. Each hotel is a team, so a brand standard update can go to one property or all of them in one step.
- Certificates with expiry. Alcohol server permits, food handler cards, first aid and CPR, and any lodging training your state requires renew on intervals that depend on the rule. Confirm each interval with your state or county, then enter it so the record tracks itself.
- Phone access. Housekeeping and banquet crews rarely sit at a desk, so courses must run on a phone.
- Proof on demand. One export that shows who holds a current certificate, for an inspection, an insurer or a franchisor audit.
How does seasonal hiring change what you pay?
Seasonal ramps are the hidden cost in hotel training, because a resort or a convention hotel can hire and release dozens of people in one year, and each one can count as a user. On registered-user pricing every account counts until someone removes it, and at a busy property nobody owns that cleanup.
Ask three questions before you sign:
- Does a deactivated user still count toward the plan limit or the invoice?
- Is the count a point-in-time number, a monthly peak, or everyone active at any point in the year?
- If the summer ramp crosses a band, is the overage billed at the contract rate, or does the whole plan move up a tier?
CompanyLMS bills learner seats you buy, so you size to the headcount you need to train and reassign a seat when someone leaves. For a worked example with turnover, see the LMS cost per employee under high turnover article, which applies the same counting models to any hourly employer.
Which LMS fits which kind of hotel?
Pick by the shape of your business, because every vendor here can host a course and issue a certificate.
- Large hotel companies with an L&D team and a need for native branded apps: Schoox or Axonify. Both are built for frontline networks and both quote.
- Independent hotels that live in written SOPs: Trainual, with a required $1,000 implementation fee and quotes by team size.
- Lowest published sticker for a steady roster: TalentLMS user bands.
- Department onboarding and certificate renewals at a published per-person price: CompanyLMS Business.
Is CompanyLMS a good LMS for hotels?
For a US hotel owner or general manager who needs department onboarding, required training and certificate renewals tracked by property, yes, and you can see the price before you talk to anyone. Each property is a team, each department has a path, and the compliance board shows who is behind.
Where it is not the right pick: if you need housekeeping task boards, a PMS integration or a native branded app, look at a hotel operations platform or Schoox first. If the job is getting every new hire trained to your brand standard in week one and keeping alcohol, food handler and safety certificates current, start with the Course Studio above and build your first path from your own manual. Why teams pick CompanyLMS
One platform for courses, onboarding, compliance and certifications
One path per department
Turn your standards for the front desk, housekeeping, banquets and the bar into separate paths, assigned on the hire date instead of a binder at the back office.
Phone-first for the floor
Housekeepers and servers finish modules on any phone between shifts, with no workstation and no login hunt.
Renewals that do not slip
Alcohol server, food handler, first aid and any state-required lodging training carry a renewal interval, and each record moves from current to due to overdue on its own.
Seats follow headcount
You buy learner seats and reassign one when someone leaves, so the summer ramp and the winter drop-off do not leave you paying for dead accounts.
