SkyPrep Pricing and SkyPrep LMS Plans Compared

SkyPrep has published no price since early 2022. Its plans start at 100+ active users, and its last printed rates were $299 a month for Lite and $599 for the middle plan, billed annually, plus $100 per extra 100 active users. Here is what each plan includes and what it costs.

SkyPrep's published entry price over time. Starter at $349 a month billed annually in 2019 and 2020, Core at $199 in a November 2020 price sheet, Lite at $299 in late 2021, and no published price from 2022.SkyPrep's cheapest plan, as SkyPrep published itMonthly price billed annually, before extra active users$3492019 to mid 2020Starter$199Nov 2020 sheetCore$299Late 2021LiteNo price2022 to todayLiteSources: skyprep.com pricing page as archived 2019 to 2022, SkyPrep's November 2020 PDF price sheet, the live pricing page read October 2026.

SkyPrep does not publish a price today. Its pricing page lists three plans, Lite, Premium and Enterprise Learning Suite, each starting at 100+ active users, and every button says "Talk to an expert." The last rates SkyPrep printed, in late 2021, were $299 a month for Lite and $599 for the middle plan, billed annually, plus $100 a month for each extra 100 active users.

This is for the HR, operations or training lead at a US company who has SkyPrep on a shortlist, often because it is one of the few LMS vendors with a BambooHR or Paycom connector, and wants a number before booking the demo. The facts come from SkyPrep's live pricing page, its own price sheet from November 2020 and its pricing page as archived from 2019 to 2022. Where a figure is our arithmetic, we say so.

How much does SkyPrep cost?

You get the number on a call. SkyPrep stopped printing dollar figures in early 2022: the page archived in December 2021 still showed Lite at $299 and Professional at $599 a month billed annually, and by April 2022 both had been replaced with "Talk to an expert." Before that, the price moved more than most vendors' do.

When Plans and published price How users were counted
2019 to mid 2020Starter $349, Advanced $499, Premium $749 a month billed annually ($449, $649 and $999 billed monthly). Enterprise by quoteFixed caps: up to 100, 250 and 500 active users, with 2, 5 and 20 administrators
November 2020 price sheetCore $199 and Premium $499 a month billed annually. Enterprise by quote above 1,000 users"Plans do not include any users." Active users bought in bundles of 100 at $100 a month, minimum 100, overage $5 per active user a month
Late 2021Lite $299 and Professional $599 a month billed annually. Enterprise custom100 active users included, then $100 a month per extra 100, overage $5 per user
2022 to October 2026Lite, Premium (renamed from Professional) and Enterprise Learning Suite. No dollar figures"100+ active users" on every plan, overage still charged

Two things carried through every version: SkyPrep bills by active users, and it sells them in blocks of 100. The 2021 rates are five years old, so treat them as a floor for what a SkyPrep quote looks like, not as a price you can hold SkyPrep to.

How SkyPrep counts an active user

SkyPrep's FAQ is clear on this: "An active user is a person who actually logs into your platform. Subsequent logins from an active user will not count towards your user limit. Each billing cycle resets your monthly active user quota." If more people log in than your plan covers, "you will be charged an overage fee for every additional user over your limit, unless you choose to upgrade" before the bill is due.

That is a monthly count, and it is a login count, not a lesson count. Someone who signs in to check a certificate counts the same as someone who finishes a course. The block of 100 is the part to plan around. A 140-person company that trains everyone in January pays for two blocks that month, or one block plus 40 overages, and the same company with 30 people active in July still pays for the 100 included in the plan.

We cover how this compares with other counting methods in active vs registered user pricing. The short version: active-user billing rewards companies whose training is seasonal, and a 100-user floor removes most of that benefit for small teams.

What Lite, Premium and Enterprise Learning Suite include

We read SkyPrep's full comparison table in October 2026. Lite carries the core LMS. The jump to Premium is where most of the things a growing HR team asks for sit.

Plan What it adds What it still lacks
Lite (100+ active users)Unlimited courses and quizzes, custom certificates, white-labelling and custom URL, e-commerce, notifications and reminders, instructor-led and live webinars, groups, real-time reports, mobile learning, SCORM 2004 player, H5PContent authoring (SkyPrep Studio), API access, SSO, premium integrations, workflow automations, knowledge checks, skills matrix report, auto-disable of inactive accounts
Premium (100+ active users)Everything in Lite plus SkyPrep Studio authoring, custom roles, advanced security, premium integrations, API, SSO, advanced reports, workflow automations, gamification, checklists, knowledge checks, dynamic enrolments, skills and competencies matrix report, phone support and a CSMMultiple platforms, automatic video captions, course sharing, domain and IP restrictions, custom SMTP, offline SCORM on mobile, AI features
Enterprise Learning Suite (1,000+ active users)Everything in Premium plus multiple platforms, migration services, multi-year discounts, course sharing, custom SMTP, SkyPrep Unity social learning, offline SCORM player and the AI image, question and assessment generatorsA published price

Three gates stand out. SSO and the API are Premium, so the HRIS sync that brings many buyers to SkyPrep in the first place may need the middle plan; ask which plan the BambooHR or Paycom connector requires. Authoring is Premium, so on Lite you upload content you built elsewhere. And every AI feature is Enterprise only, which is unusual in 2026, when most vendors ship AI question generation on mid tiers.

What SkyPrep could cost for your team

We can only do this with SkyPrep's last published rates, from late 2021, so read it as a minimum. Our arithmetic, at those rates, billed annually:

Active learners a month SkyPrep Lite (2021 rates) SkyPrep Professional (2021 rates) CompanyLMS Business, billed annually
40$299 a month, $3,588 a year (100 minimum)$599 a month, $7,188 a year$240 a month, $2,880 a year
100$299 a month, $3,588 a year$599 a month, $7,188 a year$600 a month, $7,200 a year
250$499 a month, $5,988 a year$799 a month, $9,588 a year$1,500 a month, $18,000 a year

The honest reading: at SkyPrep's old rates, its bundles get cheap per head once you have a few hundred people logging in every month, and CompanyLMS is cheaper below roughly 50 active learners, where SkyPrep's 100-user floor does the damage. Two caveats cut the other way. SkyPrep's current quotes are very likely above the 2021 card, and the features most HR teams need (SSO, API, authoring, knowledge checks) sat on the $599 plan, not the $299 one. CompanyLMS Business already includes onboarding paths, compliance and certification tracking and the skills matrix at $7 per active learner a month, or $6 billed annually, with no 100-learner floor.

Does SkyPrep have a free trial?

Yes. The pricing page offers "Try SkyPrep free for 14 days" next to the Talk to an expert button. There is no free plan. SkyPrep also says you can "upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time," and that if you cancel you are not charged for the next billing cycle, but check that against the annual commitment in your order form, since every published rate SkyPrep ever printed was billed annually.

SkyPrep integrations with BambooHR and Paycom

This is SkyPrep's real edge for a US mid-sized company. SkyPrep has a listing on the BambooHR Marketplace that creates and removes accounts and auto-assigns groups by department and role, and it announced a Paycom integration in April 2024, the only one of the LMS vendors we checked to name Paycom. Both syncs send people data into SkyPrep. Neither listing says completions are written back to the HR system.

If you are choosing an LMS because of your HR suite, our BambooHR LMS alternatives page compares which connectors sync completions back, and Paycom LMS alternatives covers what Paycom Learning includes on its Complete package.

Questions to ask SkyPrep before you sign

  • What is the plan fee, and how many active users does it include? Ask whether users are still sold in blocks of 100 and what each extra block costs.
  • What is the overage rate today? It was $5 per active user a month in 2020 and 2021.
  • Which plan does the HRIS connector need? API and SSO are Premium features.
  • Is the price fixed for a multi-year term? SkyPrep lists multi-year discounts on its Enterprise Learning Suite card; ask whether they apply to smaller plans.
  • Are the AI features, Studio authoring and SkyPrep Unity priced into the quote, or add-ons?

If the reason you are talking to SkyPrep is skills testing rather than a course library, for example screening candidates or grading a certification exam, an auto-graded assessment platform is a smaller purchase than an LMS.

When a priced LMS is the simpler choice

SkyPrep fits a company with a few hundred people logging in every month and a need for the BambooHR or Paycom connector. For a team of 25 to 100 learners that wants to assign onboarding and compliance training this week, a 100-user floor and a sales call are extra steps. CompanyLMS lets you build the course in the studio above, invite the team and pay per active learner with idle accounts not billed. For the wider field, our TalentLMS pricing breakdown covers the other vendor that still prints its rate card, and the corporate LMS pricing comparison sets the rest side by side.
