Skillsoft Pricing: Percipio Teams $240 per User a Year
Skillsoft Teams costs $240 per user a year for 2 to 300 seats on the Percipio platform, with a 30-day trial, and Enterprise is quote only. Here is what changed from the old $55 a month plan, how it compares with Coursera, Udemy and LinkedIn Learning, and what a library still leaves you needing.

Skillsoft pricing now starts at $240 per user a year. That is the Skillsoft Teams plan, sold online on the Percipio platform for 2 to 300 seats, billed annually, with a 30-day free trial. Above 300 seats, or when you need Skillsoft's leadership program or enterprise integrations, Percipio is quote only. Most pricing guides still quote an older $55 a month figure for up to 50 users; Skillsoft's own checkout no longer shows it.
If you are pricing Skillsoft, you are probably an HR, L&D or compliance lead comparing course libraries, or budgeting a renewal. The number is now easy to find. What it buys, how it compares with Coursera, Udemy and LinkedIn Learning, and what it still leaves you needing is the part worth reading.
How much does Skillsoft cost?
Skillsoft Teams costs $240 per user per year, or $20 per user a month paid annually. We read that on the Skillsoft Teams checkout in September 2026: "$0.00 due today. Then $240.00 per user/year", with a seat field running from 2 to 300 and a live total of $480 a year at the two-seat minimum. The checkout offers annual billing only for Teams in US dollars.
| What you want to know | What Skillsoft publishes | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Teams price | $240 per user per year | Skillsoft Teams checkout |
| Seats on Teams | 2 to 300 | Checkout seat field; the Teams page says "up to 300 people" |
| Trial | 30 days, card required, charged when the trial ends unless you cancel | Checkout and Teams FAQ |
| Renewal | Automatic at the end of the term; cancel any time and it expires at term end | Teams FAQ |
| Enterprise (Percipio) | No public price. Request a demo | skillsoft.com |
Adding or removing seats mid-term is not self-serve. The FAQ answer to "How do I add or remove seats?" is "Contact us, and we'll be happy to help you add or remove seats." Size the first order carefully, because every seat is billed for the whole year.
Skillsoft Teams pricing: why the $55 figure is out of date
Search "skillsoft pricing" and most results describe a Team plan at $55 per user a month, or about $500 a year, for up to 50 users. That matched an older version of the plan. The current Teams page describes a different product: "Upskill teams up to 300 people across leadership, technology, and compliance. Self-serve setup, no sales call required." The checkout that button leads to charges $240 a year.
The content scope changed too, and this matters more than the price. Skillsoft still has an older subscription FAQ live at a separate URL, and it says the trial and subscription assets "do not include our collections for Skillsoft Compliance, our Skillsoft Leadership and Development Program, or Engineering books", with single sign-on listed as Enterprise only. The new Teams page says the opposite on both counts:
| Item | Older Skillsoft subscription FAQ | Current Skillsoft Teams page |
|---|---|---|
| Compliance content | Skillsoft Compliance collection not included; request a demo | Six catalogs including Ethics & Legal and Health & Safety |
| Single sign-on | Enterprise-only feature | "SSO, HRIS integration, and license management included from day one" |
| Team size | Not stated in the FAQ; third-party guides say 50 | Up to 300 people |
| Custom content | Upload up to five GB on Team, unlimited on Enterprise | Not restated |
Neither page is lying; they describe two generations of the plan. The practical step is to get the current scope in writing on the order form, especially if compliance content or SSO is the reason you are buying. Codecademy, which Skillsoft owns, markets the same Teams bundle and also lists "SSO & HRIS integration" and "Compliance settings" among its features.
Skillsoft Percipio pricing for enterprise
Skillsoft does not publish Percipio Enterprise pricing. Vendr, which aggregates buyer-reported contracts, puts the median Skillsoft contract at about $50,597 a year, with per-learner bands of $250 to $450 a year for 100 to 500 learners, $200 to $400 for 500 to 2,000, and $150 to $350 above that. Vendr also reports 15 to 25% better per-seat pricing on two and three-year terms. Those are Vendr figures, not Skillsoft prices.
Put that next to the Teams list price and something useful drops out: $240 a seat is at or below the bottom of Vendr's reported band for small enterprise deals. If you are under 300 people and do not need the enterprise extras, the self-serve plan is very likely cheaper than a negotiated quote. The enterprise tier adds, per Skillsoft's FAQ, expanded user and content management, integrations with LMS, LXP, identity, learning record store and talent systems, virtual and in-person instructor-led course management, and the option to add the Leadership Development Program and Skillsoft Compliance.
Skillsoft subscription cost vs Coursera, Udemy and LinkedIn Learning
At list price Skillsoft Teams is now the cheapest of the four big business course libraries per seat, and it reaches 300 seats before you need a sales call. Annual list prices, read from each vendor in September 2026:
| Library | Self-serve price per user a year | Self-serve seat range | 50 users a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skillsoft Teams | $240 | 2 to 300 | $12,000 |
| Udemy Business Team | $360 | 2 to 50 | $18,000 |
| LinkedIn Learning for Teams | $379.88 | 2 to 20 at checkout, 50 per account | $18,994 |
| Coursera for Teams | $399 | 2 to 499 | $19,950 |
| CompanyLMS Business (your own training, not a library) | $72 per active learner, billed annually | 10 learners and up, online | $3,600 |
The detail for each of the other three is on our pages for Coursera for Business pricing, Udemy Business pricing and LinkedIn Learning pricing for business. The catalogs differ more than the prices: Coursera leans on university and industry certificates, Udemy on practitioner tech courses, LinkedIn Learning on professionally produced business content, and Skillsoft on breadth, including books, audiobooks, Codecademy coding labs and its CAISY conversation simulator.
Is Skillsoft enough for compliance training?
For generic topics, often yes. The current Teams plan includes Ethics & Legal and Health & Safety catalogs, recurring assignments that "reset and track automatically", and a Certification Center for completion proof. If your requirement is a standard library of data privacy, workplace conduct and safety courses in several languages, $240 a seat is a fair price for it.
Where a library stops is your own material. The training an auditor, insurer or state regulator actually asks about is usually specific to you: your harassment policy and the state rules behind it, your lockout and forklift procedures, your code of conduct sign-off, your certifications that lapse on a date. A catalog can host an upload, but it is priced for the catalog. Every seat costs $240 whether that person opens a Skillsoft course or only completes your two internal modules.
That is the case for a training platform billed on active learners instead. CompanyLMS is built for exactly that job: build your onboarding and compliance courses from templates, assign them by role with due dates, send reminders before a certification expires, and export who completed what. Business is $7 per active learner a month, or $6 billed annually, and people who do not train in a month are not billed. If compliance evidence is the real requirement, the compliance training software comparison covers the platforms built to prove it, and corporate LMS pricing explains how per-learner and per-seat models differ.
Who should buy which
Buy Skillsoft Teams if you have up to 300 people, want a broad off-the-shelf library covering leadership, tech and generic compliance, and are comfortable paying annually for every seat. At $240 it undercuts every other major library.
Ask for a Percipio Enterprise quote if you are above 300 seats, need Skillsoft's leadership program or the full compliance collection, or must connect it to an existing LMS or learning record store. Use Vendr's reported bands to sanity-check the number.
Buy a training platform instead, or alongside, if most of what you must deliver is your own onboarding and compliance content. Paying $240 a seat for a library that most employees use for one internal policy course is the most common way companies overspend here. Whatever you choose, an auto-renewing annual plan is easy to forget; if you run more than a few, keep them in one place that tracks SaaS renewals and spend so the renewal date does not decide for you.
